NFT Tips from Victor Langlois: NFT Millionaire

Feb 7, 2022 8:27 PM

Victor Langlois may be a nobody to you, but he’s somebody to the NFT world. He made more than $26 million in a single year selling NFTs. However, he started out just selling $5 stickers on Twitter. To go from that to being a millionaire in such a short time takes more than luck. So, if you want to go to somebody for advice on NFTs, he’s your guy.

NFT Tips from Victor Langlois

Langlois is a trans man who is known by his internet pseudonym FEWOCiOUS. He began creating art when he was just 13. However, his newfound success is a combination of that and fierce determination.

1.     How to Enter the NFT World: Follow the Money

Langlois finally got noticed in early 2021, years after he had first started on Twitter. He made a big sale when a Twitter user expressed appreciation for his style. He bought Langlois’ painting for $90, but he also wanted more but in NFT form.

Langlois then did his own research. This is key. He says that going in blind isn’t wise. There are a lot of scams out there, and doing your own research is paramount for success. However, it’s also wise to follow the money. If you can sell your art as NFTs, go for it.

2.     Selling an NFT: Seek Out the Marketplaces

There are several websites that have become legitimate marketplaces for NFTs including SuperRare, OpenSea, and Rarible. You’re less likely to be scammed there.

3.     Keep Exploring

Langlois believes that finding joy in your work and exploring is essential to finding success in the NFT world. This sounds like pretty basic advice for any artist, but it’s essential if you want to rise in the NFT world. For the first time in the history of the world, there is a huge digital marketplace for art.
